What they had thought were loping vines strung up across the trees shudder as if shaking off sleep. What had been mistaken as a thick, graying branch yearns up, revealing the great trunk of a creature instead. Eyes blink open - - - twin green will-o-the-wisps alight in the darkness just out of sight, as the creature camouflaged by the jungle suddenly comes alive.
