Go to your hoard, tab other.
Click the gene and you will see a popup screen of all your dragons that do not have said gene. Click the dragon you want the gene on and you will see a preview and your asked to confirm.
Confirm and your dragon has the gene.
Dragons that are on a nest cannot have their genes altered.
