Portals from nowhere. Dimensional rifts. Apocalyptic events. With the many flavors of magic that run through the world, reality makes itself a matter of perspective and flirts ceaselessly with the edge of chaos. At the threshold of that distinction is where we come in. "We" being the S.S.A.A. - and the so-called starseeds themselves. "Starseeds" as they have come to be termed are (usually) young, otherworldly beings who have been manifesting mysteriously in the land of Sornieth. So termed for appearing in pod-like 'seeds' having portaled in from the stars, and drenched in magic, starseeds often reflect the energies of the dragon (or familiar, or place...) they arrive for. Though most begin youthful in appearance and seem to be new to this world and lifetime, many possess telepathic tendencies and a wisdom beyond their years thanks to ancestral memories of what could be described as other lifetimes. Depending on who and when you ask, they may perceive these as lifetimes 'past', currently ongoing, or to be experienced - but much of that runs together for these little star beings. What is clear to them is that they're here to live and learn on Sornieth - experience it, perhaps for no other reason than that, or perhaps with grand, universe-bending ambitions. Results may vary! Most adopts will be child stage. Only users who have a starseed child may apply for growths. Growths are [i]NOT[/i] part of the initial purchase, not guaranteed to be available on any particular schedule, and not something that happens automatically. Users who have a starseed child have the option of signing up for alerts when growth slots open, at which point they can apply to have their character receive growth art, usually for an additional fee (although some freebie growth slots may appear from time to time). Occasionally, starseeds may be given out as adults, either through customs or otherwise. These starseeds are fully grown and not eligible for applying for growth slots.
