For earning treasure, try the Fairgrounds or selling things on the AH (along with a few other activities). I found a guide for Glimmer & Gloom (at the Fairgrounds) that allows you to earn 75kt (max out the daily earnings from Fairgrounds) in under 30 minutes. I can link it here if you want. You can also use gems if you don't have enough treasure, but mixed payments won't be accepted.
