Hey everyone! Just an update. I'm continuing to work on the remaining adopts, but I feel like you should have an explanation for why the slow-down again since the last time I posted some.
The winter is a challenging time for me, since during the winter I have two jobs and they are both very long hours. I live in a place that gets a lot of snow and during the winter I am part of the snow-removal industry, so when weather pops up we pretty much have to work until it's gone. Our poor luck has been that the last several weekends- the time that my first job has lighter hours and so I usually work on the butterflies- there has been major snow events that ate all my free time. Just on the weekends. It's infuriating. I haven't had a chance to just chill since this year started.
Further complicating matters, the power cord for my tablet is on its last legs and is shorting out, making me have to adjust it frequently while drawing because it will stop communicating with the computer, so work has taken longer because my workflow is constantly being interrupted. I tried to finish a butterfly today and the cord was just... not having it. Don't worry, a new one has been ordered and will be here on Friday, so this isn't a hiatus. However, another winter storm will also be here on Friday. I'm going to scream
I know some of you have been waiting a really, really long time for these. I'm going to finish the entire list. I have not forgotten any of you, or my commitment to completing the art that you ordered. Please be patient... and if at all possible, please don't be mad. I am looking forward to making butterflies for all your beautiful dragons, it's something I want to do and am happy to do. Life in logistics- whether it's the Christmas season or snow season- is just making that really hard right now. But I'm going to hang in there, and I hope you will too. The butterflies are coming! They're just slow-moving in the cold.
