Biography

Kyuth is quite old by other dragons' standards, so she's often met with a sense of awe- and in her time, she's seen and experienced a lot. As a result, she's quite knowledgeable in general information and problem solving.

Kyuth met her first mate, the Mirror Jroth, when the two were both children. Although they were happy together at first, and had two moderately sized clutches together, it was not to last. As more dragons joined their clan and the leaders' responsibilities grew, Jroth began to struggle with the pressure. Although Kyuth still loved her friend dearly, she began to doubt the strength of their bond, and worried for his health. When the young Kalyth found their clan and confessed that the older guardian was destined to be his Charge, Kyuth and Jroth parted as friends. Kalyth then stepped up to the job of leader, and before long, became Kyuth's mate. The two have had many clutches together, and have many happy, healthy children.

As clan leader, she's also good at making snap decisions and leading a group, and as a mother of over 150 biological children, she's well versed in care for and empathy towards others, as well as being generally diplomatic.
As a seasoned coliseum fighter, she's tough too, and knows a lot about the enemies and items you can find there.

She's by no means old enough to be at a physical disadvantage, but since she's getting on a bit, she can sometimes be confused by newer ideas and concepts, such as newer technology and games.
Because the population of the land was so small when she was growing up, she's not overly fond of large crowds, and will generally avoid others not of her clan unless they're in danger or need her help. She doesn't dislike others, but she'd rather just keep to herself unless she or her clan need something, or if others need something from her.

Due to how long she's been around, she still has worries and concerns no-longer relevant- for example, she collects various types of gene and breed spells in case anyone wants to borrow them, and will keep detailed records of her clan members' progeny and ancestry- despite there now being a business in this field who will do the hard work for her. Another example of this is her insistence on checking the eggs in the nesting grounds daily, and making sure they're well incubated; The egg-rotting issues so prevalent in her younger days still weigh heavy in her mind, despite this no longer being an issue.

She's rarely without her trusty Awakened Wildwood Owl; her Charge and companion who she befriended as a child, and who's barely left her side since. Her owl friend isn't in quite so good health as she is however; he much prefers perching on her shoulder to flying around as he once did.

It's rumored that the cowl Kyuth always wears is almost as old as she is; they say she found it when she was less than a month old, and was so amazed by its similarity in colour to her hide and wings, that she's not taken if off since. Her Purple Birdskull Legband was a gift from her mate Kyuth, upon her exit from the Bubble Hop maze for the Wavecrest Saturnalia 2014. As for the comet, nobody's sure where that came from- it appeared one day during the Starfall Celebration, and Kyuth (quite literally) took it under her wing. It doesn't seem to be malevolent.... so far...

Two years to the day from when she hatched, two young dragons from Kyuth's clan brought a small, barnacle-encrusted egg to her which they had found whilst scavenging. Kyuth took on the task of incubating the barnacle-encrusted egg herself- the younger dragons may be sceptical, but this small egg had washed up on her own hatchday in the one part of the sea most protected by the Tidelord himself. It was, she thought, as good an omen as any could ask for... And when the young dragon emerged later that day with fur rippling like the sea itself, she knew she had been correct; In honour of the sea and its gift, she named her new daughter Ocainath.

For the last few years, Kyuth has run a bakery stall during the Wavecrest Saturnalia. She enjoys baking for friends and strangers alike, and her love of WaveSat is easily expressed through this chance to win tickets and prizes!
