Biography
Brook
Brook is the clan's ambassador to the Maren schools. There aren't too many around Electrician's Edge; the Summerstorm Stream is far too shallow. However, once one follows to the end of the Stream, where it meets the ocean, the water is much deeper, and the Maren schools become much more plentiful. Wiuin often has Brook as a passenger on his boat, taking her out to where she can dive to converse with the leadership of these schools.
Brook is a very bubbly dragon with a very cheerful spirit. She's a very talented swimmer, and never minds taking the dive to meet with the Maren diplomats. She is totally fascinated by Maren culture, and thinks every new thing she learns about it is the best part. Every facet of it bedazzles her.
Her initial interest in Maren culture comes from the fairytales she read in her hatchlinghood. She would spend hours and hours huddled in a corner in Nightgleam's library, reading these old stories about fairies and knights and all sorts of creatures she had never heard of before. But one type of creature fascinated her in particular: Mermaids. Brook was totally obsessed with mermaid stories, and expressed disappointment to Nightgleam that they weren't real. Nightgleam gently pointed her towards the books he had about Marenkind, and Brook was ecstatic. They weren't quite like the mermaids from her stories, but they were very close, and that was enough for Brook. Brook's initial interest for her future was in storybook writing, but once she learned about the Maren, her future took on an entirely new path.
Brook still likes reading those old fairytales, and when she's not miles and miles away, diving underwater and gushing over Maren culture, much to the Maren ambassadors' amusement, she's once again likely to be found curled up in the corner of Nightgleam's library, reading those old stories.
Nerio
Nerio is a Maren prince who also serves as their ambassador to dragonkind as one of his diplomatic duties. He is particularly amused by Brook's fascination with Maren culture, and has become one of her best friends. He's sassy and enjoys teasing her about it, but he's also secretly flattered by her love of Maren culture and, although he would never admit it, loves telling her about it. He's even told her some Maren secrets that no other dragon has been told about, but she would never pass on these secrets. He's her best friend, and she would never betray his trust.
