Zulejxa

Zulejxa (Dragon's pronunciation: Zool-eck-zuh) is a name of unknown origin and meaning but is thought to be Persian for "Brilliant beauty" or Arabic for "Bright and fair" (usual pronunciations include Zoo-layk-suh and Zoo-lay-zhuh)

Primarily chosen for the bright colours, but also because Zuzu is a popular nickname for Zulejxa and this Christmas hatch was a gift from my spouse. His favourite Christmas movie is "It's a Wonderful Life." The main character has a daughter named Zuzu (The "Everytime a bell rings an angel gets his wings" kid).

Zuzu as a name itself means "sweet" in Yiddish or "Lily" in Czech.

Also because Ghost Busters is one of his favourite movies. So... "There is no Dana there is only ZUUL(ejxa!)" /hovers 3 ft above the covers. Also also though, what better way to commemorate a Christmas hatched dragon with Halloween colours than a story about ghosts (pretty sure one of those movies even takes place around Christmas or New Years...). Some events in the first Ghost Busters take place over Halloween, the defeat of Zuul happening on Nov 9th. Ghost Busters II has some events taking place through Christmas and ending on New Years Day.

Zuul is the gatekeeper for Gozer's dark and shadowy realm within the earth where the souls of the dead were ruled over: The land of the dead. Zuul and Vinz were the protectors of that realm. Zuul the Gatekeeper and Vinz the Keymaster. They were demigod minions under Gozer who arrive in the form of terror dogs and possess likely vessels to help them open the gates for Gozer's return.

This is just related lore for sources involved for potential inspiration later in the dragon's lore. I do rather like that zuul is represented by an auraboa and Vinz by a haunted and damaged tree, given auraboa's lore involving them helping to heal and support trees and branches by binding them back together with their bodies until they can grow strong again. Vinz is super in need of that given its description lol.
