Adeber was always curious of the land around her, exploring as soon as she was able to leave her nest. It wasn't long before she met Petrichor, an ethereal dragon who claimed to be a god. It was hard to believe at first- until he faded with the damp earth. Their connection was strong, growing with each passing rainfall and she found herself yearning for him when he wasn't there. She voiced her frustrations to Petrichor and the shrine seemed like a decent idea for now. They began to work, building with and without him to make as much progress as possible. The rain was frequent, Petrichor often spending days or an occasional week with her before he disappeared again. Adeber made sure his shrine was well kept, waiting for him and telling him all about the days she spent without him. Life was better, she can't imagine anyone but Petrichor as her lover and she awaited the day she could tell him about their eggs. The rain came less and less, each reunion more passionate and happy. "My love, we are going to be parents! Look at how many!" She exclaimed, rushing him over to where their eggs lay nestled together. "My darling, they are beautiful. I hope to be present when they hatch. Should we think of names now?" |
