Envious of her sister, Amaya, due to the many suitors that would come her way and yet none of them were successful. Kasumi thought herself prettier than Amaya, more interesting than Amaya and yet she only got two suitors compared to seven for her sister. She wanted to find a good partner who would be able to take care of both her and her family- but it just didn’t seem possible in her current life. Her jealousy of her sister made Kasumi ready for a change, a new life in another small town far from here.

Kasumi waited the shortest amount of time for their father, having come to terms with the fact he may never return. Even the attempt Amaya gave in their conversation was not enough to keep her in place. On her travels she picked up silks and fabrics, dedicating her spare time to making lavish clothing and using her skills to make a living for herself. In her new space, she had the suitors she desired and the perfect life away from home.
