What do stats do?

Strength: Increases the damage a dragon does with physical attacks.
Agility: Increases a dragon's dodge chance and critical strike chance.
Vitality: Increases a dragon's maximum health.
Quickness: Increases the frequency of a dragon's turns on the battlefield.
Intelligence: Increases the damage a dragon does with magical attacks.
Defense: Increases a dragon's resistance to incoming physical damage.
Mind: Increases a dragon's resistance to incoming magical damage.

This here is a rough guide of how to stat your dragon optimally for each level/venue. You'll find you'll alter it for special builds after L21ish but its a great guide to get you started levelling your own dragons.
For mages you can follow the guide but upgrade INT instead of STR. For mages add Acuity fragments and Scholars instead of Might and Berserkers.
