Biography
The young dragon was in panic when this male wouldn't leave her side when her shadow creations had gone out of control from her intense emotions. They had even wounded the male but he wouldn't let her be alone. "Caenis, look at me." He calmly said to her which made her rise her panicked gaze at him. "I am not afraid of you, this little won't kill me." He reassured her and pressed his forehead against hers. "I'll be by your side for now and forever, so don't cast me on the side from something trivial like this." His words calmed her down, she knew that what he said was the truth and that he would be there for her no matter what while trying to find cure for her wild magic. "Thank you Valeth..."

Caenis is a daydreamer, her mind is constantly filled with different kind of stories her bright imagination brings forth. She has always from a young age gotten stuck to her own daydreams, which made her parents a little worried when their hatchling was such an aloof airhead, but she just has very vivid imagination that makes her seem lost in thoughts and unresponsive. She dreams of stories filled with happiness, stories filled with thrill, stories filled with grief, there is nothing her mind won't conjure, and perhaps some of that affected her magical prowess. Not long after she hit her teenage years her affliction to shadow magic awakened which in turn brought forward different kind of problems as now her daydreams came to life in the form of shadows. Every time she would get stuck to daydreaming she accidentally would end up conjuring shadowy creatures that take the shape of the things she is imagining. This cause trouble for the people around her and some even have started to fear her. She had been granted the title Shadow Witch out of the horrors she create, but she doesn't understand why everyone would fear her so. She would love for a prince to come rescue her from her curse like in her stories, but no one has come to save her yet which made her take the matters to her own hands. She wants to find a way to suppress her magic so that she can keep daydreaming without causing discomfort to others with the fear driving shadows that can even hurt people. Perhaps someday she can interact with others like she used to and return to where she belongs. On her travels she stumbled upon a male dragon named Valeth who was an adept wind mage living in the forest alone, he had answered to her blight by offering to help her to control her magic but to no avail. The two of them got to know each other better while Valeth tried his everything to find the reason why her magic was so strong but in the end they had to go search for something that could help her as all of his own tries lead to failure. Her shadows ended up going berserk at one point when she lost control of her own emotions when she had a terrible nightmare. Her shadows ended up wounding Valeth which made her beg for him to just leave her side as she brought nothing but curse with her shadows, but Valeth refused as she already meant much more to him than a friend. |
