╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮ "Oh, isn't the smell of roses so enchanting?" ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ In a secluded grove deep within the heart of Petrarum's forest, the Silva Mater, resides a beautiful deity known as Helen, Patroness of beauty and (accidental) daughter of the wicked Galatea. Helen's rise to power came after her victory in the Rose War, which raged on between her and Galatea's Crimson Knights at the beginning of the Second Age. With Helen's victory, a new, peaceful age for her beloved city was ushered in. At the height of her influence, Helen's ethereal presence graced the land with perpetual spring. Her radiant aura attracted pilgrims far and wide, and her name was synonymous with grace and beauty. However, with the defeat of her siblings in the Great War and return to the Minor Pillar, Helen was forced into hiding within her secluded gardens. Undeterred by her leave, Helen's devoted followers continue to tend to the sacred gardens in her honor. Each petal of their meticulously cultivated flowers reflects the enduring love and reverence they hold for their beloved deity, as they patiently await the day when Helen's grace shall be restored, and she, along with her siblings, shall once again walk among them in her resplendent beauty. In return, Helen provides the city of Petrarum with blessings of romance, good relationships, and the beautiful flowering of spring. |
| On the outskirts of Vesuvius's vast forest lies the Garden of Hope. This garden, comprised of carefully trimmed hedges and an abundance of light pink roses, is where Helen has made her resting place. In the center of the garden, the artisans of the Clan have erected a large marble statue of the Rose Queen, honoring her valiant fight against her tyrannical mother. Helen's very essence keeps the garden's flowers alive and full of healing mystical powers. Many who enter the Garden of Hope are seeking healing, fertility, beauty, and romance, all of which Helen's magical roses provide. However, it is advised to never pick any flower from the garden, as it can anger the otherwise benevolent deity. Instead, make use of the flora's effects by smelling the sweet scent the roses or simply meditating alongside the beauty of the land Helen oversees. |
