Marsh's Travelling Logs

This is Marsh, he's a cartographer traversing the world to create the most beautiful maps Sornieth (or at least his clan,) has ever seen. He comes to your clan curious about the culture and social geography, and once he is ready to move on he would like to return to the Dragons of To See the World Thread to continue his journey. Alternatively, you can choose to keep this dragon as a permanent member of your clan, put them up for adoption, or return them to Kiln.

which is flooded in wet seasons
or at high tide, and typically remains
waterlogged at all times. [/size]
An ambitious, and bright young wildclaw. Self-proclaimed, sarcastic king. He's got a warmth and a temper to him. Easily approachable, but his wanderlust and overall blunt and aloof personality makes him hard to keep around.
He definitely got his temper from his mother, Mossflower. Mossflower raised him within the dense and putrid swamps of the shrieking wilds, while his other mother, Aspen focused her attention on the clan.
Even now, he has no trouble navigating difficult terrain, and it's a challenge for him to even get lost. Also, he kinda stinks. He knows this, but refuses to do anything about it. Years of marshlife has clung to his hide so stubbornly. It's a daily choice for him to either smell of a tomato-bath, or himself. The smell usually returns within a day or so of the bath.
Likely neurodivergent.
His secret dream is to join a pirate crew, and become their navigator. But he knows he has to prove himself first, and frankly he's in no rush.

I stopped by in the earthlands at a traveller's waypoint Inn.
The tea there was amazing, and brewed by the innkeeper Wairen. I don't really like tea... So that's pretty big.
II stayed for a few months attempting to map out the shifting sands of the Hazeworld, but within hours, despite CAREFUL and DELIBRATE schemes, ropes, landmarks, and spells, i continuously found myself lost...
According to Wairen I Required Rescuing Several Times by a stranger. Several times because she said I forgot that I almost died dehydration for the every time. The skydancer would regularly drop me off at the Inn's door step.
I Out of embarrassment, Wairen personally escorted me via balloon on her next delivery and dropped me off a good distance away from the Hazeworld.
I still think she's overreacting.

Met Jules, a former travelling dragon who came here and decided to stay for good. I'd be lying if I wasn't a little bit jealous... The clan here is very welcoming. I can see why he was so tempted! But he's a pretty storied old man... Maybe if I had even half of his experience... Nah... I don't think I'd stop travelling even then.
I spent weeks making a map of the area around Craw Callers. It was interesting to say the least. It lies on the border of the Scarred Wasteland and Tangled Wood, and it's evident in both the culture, flora and fauna that the elemental energies around here are regularly war against each other.
NOT THE CLAN THOUGH OF COURSE. They are lovely.
I also met Alesiter (link lost sorry! - kiln), an Obelisk with a penchant for adventure!
I had a fun time here. But I think it’s time to go for now. Maybe I'll be back here someday...

Met the ruling family, seems like a nice lot if not a bit eccentric.
Started mapping the clan territory, a nice little chunk of land between Singers Brook and the Reedcleft ascent.
Found the Oracle’s lair today while mapping. They seem quite the reserved and easily started bunch. But beautiful.

First Entry

Just my luck-- I wanted to come back for a better look at the Tangled Wood, I mapped out a small perimeter earlier, but I wanted to try to go a little deeper. Maybe I just wanted to prove my mom wrong... It can't be THAT HARD. Anyways, I was wronger than wrong... Not because of my navigation skills, BUT THIS DAMN STORM!!!
It came out of nowhere, and I couldn't see. SNOW IS PURPLE?!?! SINC WHEN-
I woke up in an Inn... Set by many ex-travelers. They said I'll be fine... But just my grace to break both of my wings on Christmas eve...

Second Entry

A few months passed, and both of my wings work now. And I found out something else about me works too, heh. One of the ladies in the clan took a liking to me, and we had couple clutches.
I made sure to put my tools aside to see the kids until they were ready to leave the nest. Parenthood is tiring, I can see why my mother had always been such a pain to me.
It feels good to stretch out my wings again, I wonder if I'll see any of them again.

I didn't realize how tiring flying was again. I spent a few days walking out of the tangled wood. That's when I ran into Sangeo in the Mire. He offered to show me the way to the Brass Union, but I declined.
I still had a long way to go. So what if I couldn’t fly? I’m a wildclaw, I’ll be fine.

[The Forest Kingdom] March 18, 2024 > April 12, 2024

I landed on in this forest and this forest is very pretty. I just noticed there's a kingdom in here and so I go to the kingdom or not. I decided to stay here for a bit and look around this part of the forest more. I just notice there's rocks here have moss growing on. These rocks look old and been here for a long time.
So, I went to see the kingdom and the waterfalls are very pretty. I went inside the water to see how it feels. It felt great and I just pick up a pretty rock from here.
Few months has pass since I been here, I lost track of my time here from study from many kinds of interesting things. But, now it's time for me go now.
