◈ APPEARANCE ◈ Don’t let the flowing ceremonial garb fool you; the ambassador before you is all corded muscle and broad shoulder. A look at her arms shows that she has hauled many halyards in her time, and will haul many more. Her face, curled into an awkward look approximating a smile as you meet her eyes, is perpetually gloomy, exasperated, and focused. After a few seconds, she’ll push past you, continuing on her path. She’s urgently looking for something, and she doesn’t have time for pleasantries. ◈ HISTORY ◈ Many dawns before she found her way across the Sea, Marisol got a job as a deckhand on a Lockjaw trade ship. Her arms strong and her spirit hungering to find her Charge, she fled her sunny plains of birth and found joy in the waters her ship wandered. But as they sailed the Sea of a Thousand Currents, visions began to swim in her eyes. The prophetic bubbles that drift up from the Spiral Keep halted. The Tidelord’s eyes, ever fixed on his children, turned away. Marisol dismissed these visions as figments of her imagination. Symptoms of dehydration, surely. She was no seer, and why would the Tidelord forewarn her of such an event and not his own children? Another vision flashed, then; herself, many years on, standing at his side, a trident in her claws. His protector. His Guardian. She reeled, confused by this revelation. He was her charge, and he was going to just... disappear? What would he have her do? Chase him? Yes, as it turns out. That was exactly what the Tidelord would have her do. ◈ ASSOCIATIONS ◈ Tidelord: Vanished, and expects her to give chase. She begrudgingly does. Sybil: Former Deepseer.
