Anima, Part 1, Interlude

W.I.P...
After drying her scales off from the bath that Delta had prepared for her earlier that evening, Anima retreated to her room for the night. She locked her door with a soft sigh, and trudged up to the ornately-framed mirror sitting at the far wall. She wasn't surprised by what she saw.
Her muddied scales were the same as ever. But the longer she stared at her reflection, the muddier they seemed to appear. Giving in, she started to turn away...until something else caught her eye in the silver surface.
“It's a shame, isn't it?” the head of a blue Imperial said with a feigned pout. “Instruments of magic should be handled with better care, don't you agree?” he asked. Blue claws reached out of the mirror, producing a wand, snapped in half.
Anima's heart slammed against her ribs, and she snatched it from his grasp. “Why were you snooping through my things, Lumiere?” she demanded, wrapping her wide wings around her whole body and hiding the wand.
“Why try to hide a broken wand?” Lumiere challenged with a sly grin.
“I'm starting to know why Dewlap doesn't like you.”
“You learn quickly. And Dewlap has...reason not to. But I can help you learn to control your magic.”
Anima said nothing at first, but kept her eyes locked on Lumiere's. Could he really help her when nodrake else could?
“Just leave me alone...” she murmured.
Lumiere began to retreat deeper into the mirror. But before he completely vanished, his voice echoed,
“All you need to do is ask...”

Lore w.i.p. Travels Sornieth with her brother, Sabre, as they search for a new home together.
One day she heard what could've been the jingling of a bell, and an odd little Spiral appeared before her. He called himself Wile, and he promised that he could give her what she longed for most of all: a place for her and Sabre to call home, and dragons to aid her in saving lost souls. If she did something for him in return.
But shortly after sealing her deal with Wile, Anima began to suspect the Spiral having intentions he failed to mention...
So she sought help from Sabre, and her brother took every egg she bore. With heavy hearts, Anima knew she might never see her own children hatch, and Sabre sombrely brought each egg to new clans.
But Sabre happened to witness the hatching of his sister's eldest child, and decided to raise the little Spiral himself, and the Snapper would dedicate his life to teaching him how to use and control his wild magic. Sabre brought the hatchling to meet his mother, but only when Wile wasn't by her side, and Anima called her firstborn 'Spectre'...
As Anima stays with the dragons of the Seaside Clan, Wile still visits her in secret, unknown to the rest of the dragons.
Lore below by Penguinball!
Korvax approached Stormlight with a proposal. If she has a nest with him, he will transfer some of his power to her as he reincarnates lost souls into their eggs. She agreed, and three hatchlings were born.
Anima doesn't much care for her illusion abilities from her mother. The abilities she inherited from her father though, those were worth studying. Blessed with the ability to see and banish ghosts, she seeks a clan that can help her save the poor souls of Sornieth.
