One day, while Tempura was watching over his coral, he was devastated to find that a small, ovular brain coral which had mysterious appeared one day and he had been watching over ever since was suddenly gone. How can a coral just up and leave?! Did someone steal it? How do you steal a coral? He frantically searched for it, and found a split shell of it not far away. As he began to mourn the mysterious coral, he was approached by a tiny Undertide. It hadn’t been a coral at all; it was an egg, and a dragon had hatched from it!

That dragon, that tiny little Undertide, would become like a little sister to him, and would grow up to be Sashimi, Tempura’s assistant in coral farming. Sashimi is a clingy and whiny dragon who cannot bear to be separated from her big brother, and is constantly swimming after him no matter what he does or where he goes. She would follow Tempura to the ends of Sornieth, to the ocean at the end of the Summerstorm Stream and beyond.

Sashimi doesn’t have as much obsessive interest in coral as Tempura does, but she really does like and enjoy coral farming, and not just because Tempura does. She has no idea where her egg came from or how it ended up in Tempura’s coral beds, either, and she is very interested in finding out. She has adopted Tempura’s habit of talking to the coral, often wondering out loud to it where she comes from and how she got there, amongst the coral. But of course, the coral cannot answer.

Sashimi’s a bit of a brat, regardless of whether or not Tempura is present, but especially so when he’s not. She’s gone her entire life by his side, and he basically raised her. She doesn’t know what to do with herself without him, so all she knows is to whine and complain and throw a tantrum when she doesn’t get her way. When Tempura’s there, he’ll usually sigh and groan and resign himself to her getting what she wants. When she’s with other dragons, they’ll roll their eyes and ignore her antics.
