Biography

Tempura
One day, while mining deep downwards in hopes of expanding the lair, Synope struck water. As accomplished of a miner as she was, this had never happened before, as she had always mined in high desert spaces where this had a much lower risk of happening, and she began to panic. And then a shy, eel-like dragon poked his snout through the hole, and helped Synope patch it up, and even redirected her to an area where the water wouldn’t flood. When Synope told the rest of the clan about her misadventure, they urged her to go back and find this mysterious dragon, and invite him to join the clan.

That dragon was Tempura, a humble and meek coral farmer who resided in the cavern rivers below Electrician’s Edge. He accepted Synope’s offer, and became an official member of the Clan of the Striking Bolt, although he does head back into the depths frequently to tend to his coral.

Tempura had been residing below the Clan of the Striking Bolt for a long time, and had frequently overheard Screechfang’s impossibly loud voice resonating through the tunnels. As a result, he knows a lot about the clan that he wasn’t present for, which does tend to creep out some of his clanmates. However, his intentions are good, and all he wants to do is to make friends and tend to his coral.

Tempura’s coral plants are extremely important to him. He hatched amongst them, all alone, and considers them a kind of family. He’s given them all names and swears they all have unique personalities. He loves the fish that reside in and around them, and has named all of them as well. Some dragons consider this, too, to be creepy, but Tempura doesn’t mind. As far as he is concerned, the coral he tends to is his family more than the Clan of the Striking Bolt is, and he knows that among his coral is where he will always consider home.

One time, Tempura went on a spree talking about brain coral. Ever since, his clanmates tease him that his brain is made of brain coral. This does not irritate Tempura. In fact, he is delighted by this concept.
