Notes from Field Researcher Aerfen:
One of the two Consciousnesses of this Hive. So closely guarded that even when we first came across them, neither of us could get much information on them directly or from their code. From what we can gather about the second Con, their designation is 'NAYSHIN'/'Nayshin', are Coatl-shaped, approximately double the size of an adult Coatl, and have a black carapace and wings. They seem to have hatched in the Scarred Wasteland, but have solely lived in the Tangled Wood since then. Those are the fairly average features expected of the average Consciousness. However, both Cons swiftly diverge from that. 'NAYSHIN' is covered in keeled scale-encircled eyes and their mind is thoroughly entangled with their Co-Consciousness. It is difficult to distinguish where one ends and the other begins, and it is not uncommon to find their differing designations and roles before any seam is noticed.
These Cons have a fairly unique treatment of their Hive structure and Drones, compared to most other Cons. This is likely due to how their formative years went, of which Glimmer and I seem to have just missed. The few details we have discovered show that closer to the Plague/Shadow border, and a few years ago, a Hive was entirely obliterated. This fits the approximate time that these two Cons seem to have moved into where they are in the Foxfire Bramble presently. The assumed originating Hive had a vast number of Coatl Drones, and was acting highly aggressive in the time shortly before it was destroyed. Thus, HIVE_455 has, as best as can be described, a hesitance towards acting as aggressively. Additionally, their Hive is vastly smaller than what it could (and technically should) be, based on their Wavelength strength and a surprising lack of nearby competition. However, these two Cons have much more 'active' Drones than most Cons. They do not exactly encourage or seek out these features, but appear to find them useful or at least usable due to the continued existence of these Drones. To clarify: from what has been observed so far, Drones may grow more complex as time passes, appearing to match some fraction of the Cons' own growths in a way that leaves the majority of ABOMI/NAYSHIN's growth free to be filled with new Drones. In simpler words: a Drone will develop quirks that only take up any spare room. The Consciousnesses do not punish, nor trim, such growth unless it is proves detrimental to them and their Hive. If anything, they very much specialize in utilizing their unique Drones.
Please keep aware. They are not dragons, that is always irrefutable. They may love, and pity, and get angry, but most of these emotions are nothing like what dragons would know. Do not take their imitation as draconic emotions either. They may apologize, but it is often not genuine in the traditional sense. Words are like weapons and threats that they measure and weigh very carefully. Few emotions are shown if they happen, and it can be difficult to tell which are for the benefit of those around them, or genuine. Allies are those with whom a mutual help can be achieved, but they are expendable*. These Cons will not betray allies or trade them. However, if the ally is in danger and can not reasonably be helped, there will be no effort made. The only 'upside' to this behavior of theirs is that they are upfront about it. All of it. Thus my ability to note this information for any dragons. They will not be fooled into traps by you merely crying wolf.
It is near impossible to pin their exact location down unless you track the Drones yourself, and this is done on purpose. This is their stretch of the forest. They are always watching you. No matter your skills at avoiding detection, you will be found. I was found. I have no scent, I make no noise, I need no light. It certainly took them longer, but I was found. I am lucky to not be deemed a threat. I know that because they read these entries. They know I know. Glimmer and I are only here to observe if they become a threat, and feel safe enough doing so as we both have connections to others that know our approximate locations. These are the only reasons we are left alone. As actions against either of us would label them a threat. This Hive takes few dragons as-is (even less, recently) and their strength is far greater than their peaceful inclination implies.
They are not worth an attack. Avoid when possible and do not attempt to steal or harm any of their Drones. They have... a highly possessive view towards every last one of their Drones.
Their Drones are similar, as many would react... poorly towards any attempt to steal them.
