The Toxic Returnee

Renigra is one of the aethers that orbited the planet for countless years, and they may be one of the original ones. They say being from the Dream Wood when it had been just an island west from the Focal Point instead of an expansive landmass rising towards the sky. How they are still alive after all those years in space is unknown as they no longer remember what allowed such a long life but theories suggest they used some kind of immortality or age stopping spell on themselves. Renigra was with other aethers when they crash-landed but instead of landing to the sea west of the Dream Wood they aborted the island before impact in order to land on their previous home. They survived the impact with the ground, which sadly suffered in form of a crater, and they have lived near the western edge of the wood ever since. Seeking them out though is not recommended as they can be quite nasty dragon to interact with. As they are not a spirit they also will not respond to summonings.

Renigra is quite a mean dragon, toxic even, and they are quite peculiarly discriminative. They don’t care about one’s element or where they are from but they do care about who made their form. They believe that the deities made the breeds fit certain environments and they should not wander outside those environments, and beastclans belong to that camp as well. Aether and fae dragons were created to live within arcane domain and such only they should live in there, those two breeds are also the only breeds with who Renigra is alright interacting with as they see them above the rest. Other breeds, and the centaurs that also live in the wood, should go back to where they came from. Along with being discriminative Renigra also tends to be quite proud and full of themselves. They think they are above others due to their long age and the time they spent in space and they tend to be quite dismissive towards what younger dragons, beatsclans or spirits have to say. On the other hand they get flattered when someone treats them as they were above them on intellectual level, as long as they are of right breed. Renigra mostly cares about being seen as having intelligent authority, politics don’t interest them one bit.

Along with being quite nasty personality-wise Renigra can also be nasty physically too. They have no issues with getting physical with others if they happen to get mad, which is quite easy to cause, and getting hit by them is anything but pleasant. Renigra’s bite in poisonous and as extension so is their saliva which they can spit towards their opponent. Their spit isn’t that powerful reaching only one meter and half at max but with how eager they are to get to clawing distance the short distance matters not. Along with that their fur hides barbs that are also poisonous. The poison in the barbs is the same as the poison in the teeth and saliva and it is neurotoxic. The poison is not lethal, as long as one isn’t small, old or in weakened state, but it will paralyze the creatures that come in contact with it as if it froze their nervous system. The symptoms include inability to move, difficulty to pull in air, impaired or fully defunct senses, inability to use or contain magic, inability to think or acknowledge one’s surroundings or being fully knocked out. The poison remains in effect from hours to few days depending on the size of the inflicted creature. Renigra themselves is immune to their own poison and they also resist other poisons very well. Along with poison Renigra can also spit liquid air in concentrated stream. They can shoot it farther than the poisonous saliva but cooling down the air for the attack is tiring and they are rarely able to use it more than once a day. They prefer the poison as their main form of attack.

Name origin: Named after one of Finlandia's characters from one of her stories. Name comes from fictional language and doesn't have clear translation at the moment.
