Shiranaso (She-rah-nay-so) is the founder and leader of a witch coven. She wanted to provide a support group for witches that have been rejected by their previous clans, knowing all too well what it's like to be in that position.

Since childhood, Shiranaso was always interested in magic and witchcraft. When she became old enough, she began reading books and studying it, slowly but surely learning more spells as time went on. Eventually, though, as much as she tried hiding it, her clan found out. Her clan was strict; they'd banned such things, believing that witches were evil traitors. Shiranaso ended up being shunned and forced to leave.

For weeks, Shiranaso wandered around Sornieth by herself, without shelter. The other clans seemed too wary of her to take her in, and she didn't dare try to trespass on a clan's home at night. Often she slept out in the open, usually under a tree or in bushes. She had access to water sometimes, but she was running out of food. Exhaustion was chipping away at her. One day her body couldn't take it anymore, and she collapsed.

Shortly after she woke up, Permusu came to her side. As the Skydancer explained where Shiranaso was, Permusu gave her one of her health potions she'd brewed, restoring Shiranaso's energy and healing the wounds she'd received on her journey. From this day on, Shiranaso had always been grateful for Permusu's aid, and she vowed to help any other witches in similar situations as Permusu did for her.

In addition to being an expert at various spells, Shiranaso has extensive knowledge on a wide range of poisons and venom. She studied her familiar before researching other organisms that produce toxic substances. While she does know how to make potions and spells with such substances, she prefers to use her knowledge to treat and heal dragons who have been poisoned or injected with venom.
