• the lead captain of a small fragmentary island that split off from the astrolab long ago, one of many, in an effort to cover more 'ground' so to speak. despite her love for the stars she has always loved the earth just that little bit more. while her crew would often be looking up at constellations and nebulae, haya-oh would be looking down at the world, marvelling at how each land mass was distinct from one another in their own way, wondering how life was below the clouds. she had marvelled at the sheer size of the wyrmwound, witnessed the dissipation of the twisting crescendo, watched as the magmablood rebuke rose from the ocean. when the astrolab returned to the surface, and word was sent to the remaining fragments, haya-oh felt bittersweet. her crew and ship had been her lifeblood, but there was so much more to learn below! • her island, affectionately nicknamed harrier by herself and the crew, had landed safely in the middle of the wasteland and not too far from lorica itself. her craft had been spotted by pollyanna during their landing procedure, who quickly assembled a group of researchers and mercenaries for protection. their astonishment was mutual, a new ancient to the denizens of lorica, new breeds never seen before their departure for the crew. first contact was full of bewilderment and amazement, and haya-oh and her crew integrated well after they accepted an invitation to stay at their wonderful little town. something about it felt right. • haya-oh and what remains of her crew still resides in the island, being able to give it just enough lift with the help of quite a few arcane and wind dragons to move it closer to the walls of lorica. she has made it a point to be fast friends with most dragons she comes across, eager to catch up and know more about the world she left behind and those that live on it. prone to gossip, the aether can talk your ear off, but she never means to talk at people, always wanting to keep up a lively conversation. the aether has grown very fond of a shy snapper by the name of truffle, after requesting a specific recipe for mooncakes that she hasn't had ever since she took to the stars. haya-oh also regularly visits pollyanna and her mate, to help with her research into the constellations above the contagion.
