• a massive sweetheart of a dragon who is exceptionally passionate about her work, skilled in the creation of all manner of delicate fancies, from chocolates to cakes to hard boiled sweets. a confectioner in the middle of the wastes is a difficult profession to be sure, but truffle has made it work, the love of her craft pushing her onward in her goal of perfection. she is besotted with her mate malt, who often combines his own practice of brewing to create rather tipsy little confections of their own. often she will work with his trade too, making bourbon casks that are often far too sweet for their own good.

• despite her friendly demeanour truffle has found it difficult to make bonds with other dragons, due in part to a particularly bad friendship that broke off when she was much younger. malt has been alongside her since they were quite young, and the two inevitably wound up together when they were older - they had a running bet on who would confess first, though each one would argue that they won that particular wager. despite this, she feels she has become close with one of the new aethers that has found its way into lorica after they timidly asked for her to bake it a treat it felt nostalgic for. she apparently succeeded in such a task, since the aether now seems to seek her out for company, to talk, and to laugh. truffle isn't used to the feeling, but she thinks she can get used to it.

• often writes home to her parents, usually detailing her day to day life and including a recipe or two. sometimes she'll add rocks she reckons her father would find particularly interesting, much to the dismay of the courier dragon delivering it.
