Rhyolite ⯎⯎ The Cursed
Rui stared at this child, unsure of what to make of him- Originally he had came out of his shell, mimicking Enigma's scale colors- A Carrot hue to his scales and Teal wings but suddenly he had darkened. Much like his own, advancing patches of discoloration that was occurring at a rapid pace. Something was wrong, wrong with himself and his progeny- and Rui felt the dread creeping up his spine. What could have caused the scale discoloration on himself- and why did it spread to his child? Did Samara cause it? She was a daughter of talos yes- but.. that shouldn't have caused this. Rui's mind frantically darted between thoughts- What is happening? Did someone cause this? Did... Slutar infect him with a potent strain of the Kier Effinar? Or was it the shade- the same shade that nearly took over Tisiphone. His scales are darkening- and this child's scales looks similar to one Tisiphone had produced before he fled to his father. He must visit Yama. Something is wrong, and he hopes the god of the dead will know... Asphodel sat among the spirits, troubled as she watched the wisps move about her. She'd become used to Zerah's intrusions before, but she hadn't thought her corner of the dead would feel so empty without him traipsing about with one of his partners. He'd once come with Noya to show her the world beyond the river he'd pulled her from. Khashada had come to see what wisps were left when she'd been turned by Zerah, returned to the living by his hands. Cyra's jaunts with Zerah, few as they had been near the end, were always a light in the realm of her own design. She felt something shift in the veil, causing her to pause her wisp-watching. Perhaps it was one of Zerah's sons, or perhaps a nephew or niece? Sometimes they'd find their way in when they followed Zerah's old notes. Or perhaps it was one of the Ophanim? She didn't mind their occasional intrusion to check up on her, especially since she'd been close to Zerah before the incident with Baruch. She couldn't blame them for being antsy about such things. Then she heard the whispers. The wisps rarely ever made noises, silently shifting about her little grove in the perpetual crawl that was their own afterlife. They never found a cause to say a thing, their days and nights blending together in a monotonous buzz. Even when Zerah came around, or the Ophanim, or other descendants entirely wandered in, they simply slowed, stared, then moved about. For them to actually start murmurs, whispers, as if they could truly speak to each other over what they saw... WiP (I had to get ya. Just had to. Need to gene someone up for Zerah to break out and get word to Tisi that Baruch is evil tbh. This boi is totally gonna help.)
