guyFzki.gif History
xxAysel lied in wait over a small pool of water, she could see her enemy through the cattails. Knowing she couldn’t see her, she crept up the bank of the pond slowly before pouncing on her prey. Aysel and Arachne rolled through the grass for a little bit before Aysel was able to pin her, “That’s another score for me.” She proclaimed proudly.
xx“No fair, you hid that’s cheating!” Arachne countered as Aysel helped her up laughing.
xx“All is fair in war Arachne, but if you can’t accept that answer we can have a rematch.” She said teasingly.
xxArachne brushed the dirt off of herself, “Sorry, but I can’t today. I’ve got another lesson soon for my class in swordplay, you know how it is.” Aysel frowned because she didn’t know how it is; she was just a regular kid in the Druidkeep while Arachne was the daughter of the clan leaders.
xx“Yea I understand.” She lied while putting on a fake smile, it was painful to her how easy it had become trying to understand Arachne’s obsession with being like her father. The older Aysel got she had more of a wild streak, and would often end up in trouble with the local guards.
Aysel felt alone and like she didn’t belong inside The Druidkeep, and the only friend she had was caught up in her own fantasy that she couldn’t see how much hurt her friend was going through.
xxOne night though, Arachne showed up at her alcove in The Crystal Caverns clearly annoyed by something. She immediately sat down and began dumping every little thing that had inconvenienced her in the past few days; talking about her lessons being delayed and how she hadn’t been able to see her father in the past few days for longer than small greetings in passing.
xxAysel looked at her in disbelief before saying, “Even after leaving me alone for so long, you think you can come in here and tell me all of your worries? I got arrested multiple times and not once were you there for me, but now you expect me to be here for you?” She could see the hurt in Arachne’s eyes, almost like her eyes had been open for the first time, and the truth hurt her eyes like the sun does to a cave dweller’s.
xxAysel left The Druidkeep for awhile after that night, and her wild streak only managed to grow. Aysel became a brigand in the west of The Viridian Labyrinth; spending her days doing whatever she could to forget her time in The Druidkeep. No matter how bad Arachne forgetting her had been to her, she couldn’t help but miss the one person who never wanted her, always content to always try and live in someone else’s shadow.
xxYears passed, but her feelings for Arachne never did, instead of slowly fading away she only missed her friend more with each passing day. Eventually Aysel realized that she couldn’t run from her past any longer, she needed to return to the present and know that Arachne most likely had made her dream come to fruition and that Aysel like always didn’t fit into that picture.
xxShe returned to The Druidkeep where she was immediately intercepted by guards where her reputation for banditry in the west had grown. Aysel sat in a cold and dark cell like she did some nights back in her youth, and she always knew which guard was on duty because this was almost like a second home to her.
xxSurprisingly one day, a guard opened her cell and told her she was free to go. When she got outside the jail, none other then Arachne was waiting for her. “It’s nice to see you again Aysel.” Arachne said with a soft smile and a soft tone.
xxAysel scowled at her, “Nice to see you too Ransom.” She said taking a jab at Arachne’s obsession, which Arachne only responded with a small frown.
xx“Come on, let’s go take a walk.” Arachne said motioning for Aysel to follow her, and Aysel not wanting to come all this way for nothing did so. They walked to that same pond that they used to play around while they were kids in silence, and they stood and watched the pool until eventually Arachne spoke, “I’m sorry how I treated you before Aysel. It was wrong and I should’ve realized sooner how much it hurt you. I don’t deserve it, but I hope you can forgive me.” She said softly with tears building in her eyes.
xxAysel stood there stunned for a few moment, she wasn’t sure if what she had heard was real or her mind playing tricks on her. “I- I can’t forgive you now, but I think with time I could find it in me to.” She said with a shakey voice.
xxArachne nodded in response, “I understand.” She said softly.
xxOver the next few months, Aysel had began making her changes as she wanted to leave behind her life as a troublemaker and a brigand. She started going through training and reformation needed to hopefully become a guard for The Druidkeep, and would occasionally meet up with Arachne to talk and spend time with her trying to find it to forgive her. One day after her time training, Aysel found herself lying in wait over a pool of water, and there she could see her enemy through the cattails. She crept up the bank knowing she couldn’t see her, and pounced on her prey.
xxHer and Arachne rolled through the grass until Aysel managed to pin her, “I love you.” Aysel said with a smile.
xx“I love you too.” Arachne said returning a smile just as wide.
