Rot

Black King
Rot is the first hatchling of Babel and Sooth. He serves as a manager of the town's finances and trade, ensuring that the communal treasure pile is always holding steady (or growing).
While calculating profits and costs is the bulk of it, he'll also get a little more "hands on" by traveling to hawk goods with the aberration trio (quintet?) of Clinco, Blinco, and Drinco.

Rot has quite the interest in "dark" and "deep" topics (perhaps due to nominative determinism), and will wax poetic about them to anyone who asks. "Consider chess," he says, picking a black king out from his hoard. "White and black. Bright and dark. Light and Shadow. Opposites, yet equals in all regards. Yet, according to the rules, white always goes first. Who are we to pick favorites, when the universe clearly has none?" Meaningful or meaningless, he always has something to say.

While Rot has a good relationship with his clutchmate brothers, Consort and Corsair, there is some animosity. Consort and Corsair envy him for the attention he got from their father, but Rot doesn't seem to realize he was Babel's favorite.

Rot, while not necessarily egotistical, does consider himself quite unique (unique enough to get his own bio format, at least).
