Biography

This Bio is mostly an incomplete collection of odds and ends.

What are we but a collection of composite memories? Can we be more?

Named for Kaibab (Southwestern Native American word for "Mountain Lying Down") Limestone (Orangey rocks of the Grand Canyon). I think I'll also use the 2008 anime Kaiba for some lore inspiration too, though I've not had the privilege to watch. It was something I found when searching Kaiba as a name. I like the idea of memory featuring heavily in their storyline, regardless. Maybe even as little scattered orange spheres/gems, possibly hook it back into memories of the land they're connected to instead of people memories. Or maybe they really are a plural them and these memories were being stored in gems or something from several sources, all come together long after to form one composite being in this dragon. Ideas ideas. Additional possibility: These memory gems were part of some civilization or project of some kind pre-arcane-reactor-explosion.

May also use Diggory Graves, a character in Hello From the Hallowoods as inspiration too - composite memories/people feeling a navigational pull toward each new destination. In this case it would be another loose memory gem.

Mix in a healthy dose of Light flight and Earth flight elements into the lore.

Shale buck because rainbow shale can be seen all along the Kaibab trail of the grand canyon.

Something tells me Kaiba and Remi would have loads to talk about either way.

"I think my favorites have to be Kaiba and Celesta this time around- Kaiba is like an ocean gem catching rays of a blazing sunset. The way the opal looks with the Crystalcourt Cascades is ever so perfect, and the skin ties it all wonderfully together. I wish I could give them more stars!"

"As for Kaiba, i adore the idea of their memories being fragments of a long-lost civilization...creepy and sad and hopeful all at the same time!"

"For now, I want to praise Ywen, Mithras, and Kaiba especially, and just wanted to let you know how unique and wonderful their designs and appearances are. [...] Kaiba is just as stunning, and that's definitely a wonderful use of the Rockoko accent. The contrast of the light blue and sunset colours is fabulous, and the magical smoke as well as the blue crystals and gemstones match incredibly well; once again you created an inspiring and outstanding design. Kudos, and Happy Holidays to you - thank you for spreading the love and for keeping this thread running even though it's holiday time!"

"Kaiba is a beautiful combo of accent and apparel adding those blue tones to complement their natural hues. So well balanced - not at all a boring triple!"

"Kaiba is lovely - the combination of rich orangey reds and teals is so pleasant, and the way the accent blends into the darker colors of their star/con is fabulous."

"So, I'm usually not very partial to Wildclaws, but the way you style and present them is absolutely gorgeous! And your Fae dragons?? Incredible. As for the reason the two above are some of my favs (it's hard to choose one lol), Kaiba is the most beautiful embodiment of copper I've ever seen. If I had to imagine a deity for the metal, it would look something like them. And Cadence looks like an awesome sunset, with a familiar with coloring to match!"
