Bright and Torin > Curiosity >
Just over two decades ago, a rift appeared in the skies of Sornieth, and the impossible came to life.
The City of Waterdeep, the Realm of Possibility, and Home of all Mages crashed into the open ocean. Yet its splendor existed solely in the hearts - and thoroughly preserved - pages of their libraries. For in their world, a dragon had sought to become an old god. It had taken its protectors all they had to stop him, and in doing so, ripped the foundations of their world apart, with no way of knowing if they were the sole survivors of all that was once familiar, or adrift somewhere beyond what their Realms' maps could fathom.
That was the world Curiosity was born into. The child of a society uprooted, weaponizing its novelty to survive, and a wide open realm that still treated too much of what she loves with hostility.
She's made a name for herself as a sell-sword and an artist (as opposed to a sell-sword and an arcanist, but the roads in family tradition are fairly narrow), and travels Sornieth to capture as much of as she can on canvas. Her hope is to one day bring home a painting that her family can mistake for a scene back home so the spaces between dimensions don't feel so insurmountable.
The Prodigal Daughter Returns
Shortly after she wandered out of Waterdeep, Curiosity lost all contact with her family. She was gone without a trace, impossible to contact via mundane or magical means. She has no recollection of how she's returned, or at least, not one she has been willing to share with her family, but in the dead of night, when the seas around Waterdeep are calm, she's been known to spend hours looking across the horizon, as if waiting for a sign.
Lore by Fantivity
Eventually a sign did come in the form of a new home with lots of variety and magical people, this does not mean she wouldn’t want to help rebuild her ancestry home as well, regardless this new home was shown to her by a handsome dragon, with a family that she could call her own maybe start over. Curiosity wouldn’t stay in one place fir very long tho that’s just not in her nature, continuing her career she travels around drawing the beauty of the world around her and taking up a sell sword job here and their to make some money to live on.Curiosity eventually meets other travelers in the clan who are all rather abnormal and actually thinks about starting her own family. Eventually getting asked to be the beloved of the handsome dragon who turned out to be named Ichigo to be his mate, he came from a powerful line himself and is actually familiar with rifts and time, he’d like to try to help her understand it all and maybe overcome the vague fear she holds from her past experiences.
Ichigo has a lot to tell her about his family to considering he’s a demigod.
Curiosity would teach him and her kids how to fight if they wanted to learn and show them the beauty of the world around them teaching them her art skills if interested as well. She hopes that her future is improving and will stay bright and some day she will give her family that painting of her new home inspired by her new life.
