The lantern glow with a bloody holiness, begotten by the Black Goat, crafted by the forger of rubies, and giving form by the Barghests. She is a strange beast, a cacophony of unclassifiable parts, and yet it cannot be denied that she is beautiful. The red rubies that dot her flesh are as radiant as the stars, and in the light of the lanterns they seem almost liquid, so that her mouth opens like a great wound, and her eyes burn like two crimson embers.

The Gytrash is a kind guide of the crossroads, and she is known to have mercy upon those who pass beneath her shadow. Those who call upon her and have done good in their lives, they say, are rewarded with an eternity of splendor, gazing upon her glorious red beauty.
Those who have done bad will be punished, and will know suffering for every paltry misdeed, until they are cleansed of all their sins. But there are many who cannot fathom what kind of good or bad they have committed in their short and sorrowful lives, and so they fear the Gytrash.

They do not call to her. How foolish.

A figure appears in the white of the snow, fading into existence. Gytrash looks out, and locks eyes with a huge, looming imperial, his plague-red eyes flashing in the half-light. She feels his gaze carries the weight of great hatred, and she tenses, claws digging into the ice.

She is not truly dragon. Neither is he. She can feel it.

The Imperial draws a long sword, and his words ring over the wind.

"You are of unusual blood."

"So are you." She hisses. The tundra has no weapons, but she does not need them. Her magic is strong.

The lumbering beast lunges, sword in hand, swinging for her neck. She dodges, sliding across the ice and filling her lungs with the icy cold. A plague sigil forms beneath her feet, and all her eyes focus on him.

"I am a judge, and I feel your sins, Imperial."

"You and others like you are false judges." He growls, swinging the sword. This time, it slices evenly though her fur and digs into the ice, leaving her winter coat with an uneven gash in it.

Her magic unleashes upon him, travelling up his sword into his arms, burning his nerves with the sting of her plague heritage. His eyes burn with pain and fury, and she knows the two of them could fight without ever seeing an end, two dragons at an eternal crossroads.
