Biography
All's Fair in Love and War
~ ~ ~ ~
Hemlock assumes he was abandoned. In truth, he was sent along with other hatchlings to train under Windsinger. While to fight and die against the beastclans or Shade was a noble cause, it wasn't a life Hemlock wished to live. So he deserted. He left the Windswept Plateau in hopes of never being found. He lived a nomadic lifestyle for years, bouncing between reckless and secluded.
The tundra could never live alone. He got caught up in rough crowds, however always ended up either slipping up or slipping away. His reputation was either rather negative or unknown due to his habits. Where he wasn't known, however, he was able to get by with a charming smile and looks. Hemlock knew this well, and would use it to his advantage.
One night he upset the wrong crowd in the Tangled Wood. He took to the skies, hoping to lose the trail in the rain. The drizzle soon turned into a massive storm, however, with destructive winds that threatened to rip apart the skies. Hemlock was cast from the skies, hurled into a dense pine forest in the Sunbeam Ruins. The branches had shred his wings, leaving him bound to the earth. The irony of it all, a dragon of wind struck down by the very winds that should be at his command.
Hemlock wasn't alone, however. He was rescued from the storm by a Wildclaw named Jesi, and given a place to heal from his wounds. She even attempted to sew new wings for the tundra. While they alone couldn't grant him flight, perhaps if he learned more of his element he would be able to take to the skies once again.
Instead of simply recovering and moving on, Hemlock stuck around. He had a roof over his head and he'd never go hungry. To top it all off, he'd wake up to a rather beautiful wildclaw bringing him breakfast. It was clear to him that she liked him as well, so in his mind it made since to stay. He was alive, he was safe, his reputation here was clear, and he had a loving mate. Things were good.
That is, until he ran. Hemlock was never one for commitment. Things moved too fast, and soon enough he was confronted with a nest of eggs. Five of them. Hemlock wasn't ready to settle down, to raise a family. He had to be free. So in the night, the coward fled.
This was far from the end of Hemlock's tale. In fact, it had only just begun.
