ABOUT. Once brash and reckless, Asteria has been mellowed by her years wandering the Scarred Wasteland and finding faith and solace in worship to the Plaguebringer. She's still got some of the brash, reckless warrior in her, but she's too old and too wise to push herself too much. IMPRESSIONS. Bears the scars of a fighter and wears the robes of a Plague priestess. Unlike her sister, Asteria does not hide her past. She'll listen to your troubles regardless of your elemental allegiance. Trains some nights in the fighting ring, alone; favours her left leg and has taken a page out of Tisiphone's book by forsaking flashy moves for efficiency. Smells faintly of incense and rosewater. Dreams of better times, and often wakes in tears. PAST. Asteria, like her siblings, Altair, Aveline, and Connor, in the nest before her, used to be headstrong and reckless and carefree. Along with Clymene, the youngest of the five, they flourished under their mother's tutelage and their father's encouragement. They were young and unstoppable and Asteria had never felt so free. Then her elder siblings went to visit a sister clan and never returned. Her mother withdrew into herself and her father couldn't keep what remained of the family together. This was in the early days of the clan, when their numbers ranked fewer than twenty, and the loss of three capable fighters was a devastating blow. Asteria couldn't bear the grief that settled over the clan, and one night, she ran away. Only to find Clymene close at her heels, unwilling to abandon her sister. Together, they travelled the expanse of the Plaguebringer's domain, and each of them found peace in different ways in discovering their faith to the deity. CONNECTIONS. Clymene: Sister and confidant. Nyx: Mother. Their relationship was never quite the same after her siblings disappeared, but they love each other. Heracles: Father. The two like to spar, and Asteria is on better terms with him.
