ABOUT. Nyx knew only one thing in all her days as a wanderer, and it was to always keep fighting. Even if her wings were weighted, even if the hot blood in her mouth was hers, even if her only hope of salvation was a slit throat and a quiet burial, she would get back on her feet and keep going. She'd had no intention of stopping, not till she found herself the leader of a clan, stuck with caring for dragons hailing from all Shade-forsaken corners of Sorineth, the weird and the wicked, the fearless and the faithful. Heracles is a big help, of course, for one cannot possibly keep track of so many without going half-mad—if she is to concern herself with their safety then she must take all factors into consideration. The storytellers paint tales of her protecting the clan at night from sinister beastclans and spirits (untrue, the Bloodworm Guard and the Realmwalkers do that far more effectively than she ever could) and while she does nothing to discourage them, the truth is far from the stories they spread. She has secrets. Most dragons do, but most dragons don't have secrets that don't endanger a clan hidden in the wastelands and involve a raider party in the Earthshaker's domain. Some nights, she thrashes awake with her claws extended, her mouth contorted in a snarl, her eyes scanning for a heat signature she hasn't seen in years. Over time, Nyx has gotten good at hiding the flinches whenever someone makes mention or raises concern of raiding parties plaguing the Wasteland and, strangely enough, Dragonhome. In more ways than one, she is still running. IMPRESSIONS. PAST. KIN.
