The winds tear, as always, across the bleak sands of the expanse- but next to the pale, armored lady the sound gains unsettling depth, as though something else were howling its rage into the din, quiet as a whisper. She smiles calmly, unconcerned, and admires the sunset. __If words had to be found to describe Farangis, 'forcefully calm' may be the best one could do. She steps through life at exactly the speed of her choosing- with a pleasant, placid smile ever present- and no God nor dragon nor eldrich force of chaos can move her if she doesn't wish it. Most who meet her find this either impressive or somewhat unsettling. To those who aren't put off she's an excellent listener, and anyone is welcome to accompany her on a walk, or sit beside her as she admires the ever-changing skies of the expanse. __She has little to contribute regarding design or construction of machinery, and Iria dislikes having someone underfoot who doesn't heed her directions, so she is generally found stationed near the edges of the pack, primarily concerned with the defense of the central encampment. Thrush and Ancalion have proclaimed themselves her apprentices, and frequently accompany her patrols. __Though an impressive combatant in her own right, Fara's true prowess lies in her control of spirits, whom she has do battle alongside her. ("They need frequent exercise," she'd say, "Else they may get antsy.") The spirits she keeps with her are all held under iron-tight control- though she has never said so outright, and others cannot hear their voices, the implication is that they are not peaceful nor friendly entities. __Though she doesn't speak of the particulars, Fara's spiritual ability appears to be inherited- whether this is due to inborn ability, or simply instruction in her youth remains unknown to the rest of the pack. |
