You’ve already read this. You haven’t read it yet. You’re sitting in the moment, experiencing this for the first time.
The future is the same as the past. Which one happens first is a matter of what direction you’re going, if you’re going any direction at all. Imagine it not as a point on a line, but the entire line. Then imagine how many times it diverges, over and over again, until it’s not a line at all, but a spider web of possibilities. Then it just keeps going, encompassing endless forever so that empty space might not feel so empty. Imagine experiencing it all at once. All of eternity, just for a moment. Everything that has happened, that will happen, which might happen, laid out before you. The feeling of being created alongside the feeling of coming to an end, but there is no end because you’re not you anymore. You’re so much more. And then the moment passes, and you’re back to being a point on a line, creeping excruciatingly in a single direction. The clock ticks. It chimes. Another hour has passed. Another minute, another second. You don’t have to feel it all. You can feel each moment as it is. And you have the luxury of not knowing what happens next.
