Midnight is a planet completely composed of diamond, a gleaming sphere of otherworldly beauty. It's completely inhospitable due to being bombarded by extreme amounts of radiation, which makes the fact there's something out there that much more terrifying.

Interesting enough, a planet dubbed 55 Cancri e was later discovered, believed by scientists to be made of diamond and graphite.
