Figuring out a name for this dragon was the hardest part, 'Hork-Bajir Homeworld' does NOT roll off the tongue.
Class: D Natives: Hork-Bajir, Arn Fandom: Animorphs Song: xxx "Millions of years earlier, a massive asteroid had hit the planet's northern pole. The impact had shattered the crust, especially around the equator. It had opened massive valleys that cut deep, deep into the planet's surface. Valleys with steep, rugged walls. The valleys were as much as fifty miles deep and held onto a rich nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere. The walls of the valleys were green. The floors of the valleys were a poisonous, eerie blue." S T O R Y
Others might think we are primitive, finding joy in digging into the soft bark of a tree with nothing but our claws and leaping from bough to bough. Idly watching the Chadoo fly overhead. Telling stories more with our hearts than with our voices. We never were that good at speaking, anyway.
Most would even find us simple. We were made that way, after all. First used to tend to a greenhouse the size of a planet. Then we had our bodies further invaded to be used as weapons. Then, we had our fates decided for us by those who believed themselves above us. We never wanted to be any of those things. We just wanted to live as ourselves, in what you called a 'simple' life. Now, most of us are just dead. Those of us who are left are twisted, forced to no longer be simple. It doesn't matter what we wanted. When others make the choice for you, your own choices cease to matter, and kindness is not enough to make them leave you alone. So we fight for us. Not for a greater good. Not to fix your mistakes. But because we hope, one day, we will truly be a free people.
