head warrior | strong | brave | stubborn mate: Chion | PAIR RANGE Upon her hatching, Hibiscus broke through fighting. When born into the unforgiving Wasteland, she had little choice. Not only that, but she hatched alone. For her siblings' eggs had long since rotted and her parents were nowhere to be found. Alone and frightened, Hibiscus cried out, but none answered. So with her feeble strength, she climbed out of the safety of her nest and into the unknown. The wind cut through her like tiny knives and she could scarcely open her eyes. Nonetheless, she stood against the elements and cried out once more, and this time, her call was answered. Before her stood an imposing but lovely guardian, Millicent. She spread her wings over Hibiscus and shielded her from the elements. She then glanced at the nest and frowned. She need not ask what happened, and she brought Hibiscus with her. At that time, there was no clan, only Millicent and her mate, Ravenwood. Without hesitation, they took in Hibiscus and raised her as their own. Hibiscus's childhood was filled with valuable lessons. Millicent taught her to carry herself with grace and dignity, reminding her to lend an ear to all dragons, no matter their flight. Ravenwood, a fellow mirror, taught her to be fierce and clever as every mirror should. Both spoke of a Sanctuary. A dream for a clan that accepted dragons from every element where none would want for anything. Stories of Sanctuary enchanted Hibiscus the most and she swore that she would protect it the way that Millicent had protect her. Thinking Hibiscus's promise a mere flight of childlike fancy, Millicent chuckled. Nonetheless, she applauded Hibiscus's bravery and encouraged her to always fight for what she believed in. From that day forth, Hibiscus trained. Each day, she'd journey past the clan's borders and faced the wandering beasts. She fell often in those early days, but she always rose and fought again, believing in the Sanctuary. With each victory, she became stronger, and the clan slowly grew. As the Sanctuary took shape, Hibiscus continued to sharpen her skills. She also continued to carry herself with grace and dignity, welcoming any dragons who sought shelter in the Sanctuary. Thanks to Hibiscus, no harm comes to the dragons that call the Sanctuary home. Many dragons believe Hibiscus's strength stems from her rigorous training, but should any suggest this, Hibiscus would laugh. For it is not bloodshed that grants her strength, but the love she carries for her clan and family, and it is with this wisdom that she guides those who choose the warrior's way.
