Biography
THE SNOWSQUALL TRIBE
| ROWELL |
Tall and elegant, head held high beneath large branching antlers that never shed, Rowell embodies the full majesty of a proud darkly colored stag, taking on the guise of a deer alongside his mate, Ossia. Part of the very first four to join Banagher and Rin on their long migrations, the two embody their identities well with their impeccable sense of hearing and smell, the most alert among the Snowsquall Tribe. From the whumph of an avalanche on the brink of its cascade, to the hostile scent of an unknown creature lurking in the shadows, the deer often detect danger moments ahead of the rest, the Tribe knowing to take caution when their sharply perked ears begin to search intently into the winds. Though confrontation is never much to Rowell's liking, should he find himself or those in his care under threat, the stag will not hesitate to fend off danger with his sharply pronged antlers, his channeling of frost magic giving an added bite to stun their attacker just long enough for them to escape the fray. The Tribe's astonishing survival and endurance owes itself to Rowell and Ossia, the two standing as its skilled healers. Whereas Ossia turns her special attention towards the healing of ailments and disease, Rowell finds his adept in mending physical injury, carefully binding broken limbs and open wounds to continue persevering in their grueling journey. To this day, not one member of the Tribe has been lost on their migration despite all the hazards that cover the path, the two deer adamant in ensuring every face that leaves with them from the Snowsquall Tundra makes it back to tell the story. Rowell's outgoing and welcoming personality has been a boon to easing the fears of those vulnerable within his care, and especially those stumbling upon the Tribe for the first time in the middle of the howling terrain. He mingles freely amongst strangers as he does with the long standing members of the Tribe, his lofty but friendly demeanor expressed extravagantly with lavish words and melodramatic expressions. For one of the few that doesn't hide his face beneath a skull or pelt, carrying himself with such gratified confidence, Rowell is often glanced at as a rather handsome face among such a hardened bunch, seeming to only become finer with age as his antlers grow and his travels continue to adorn him with wisdom and peace in the life he has lived. It becomes quite the shame to his pining admirers in the end, as they come to find his loyalty was already taken many moons ago. |
