Few Aberration dragons have embraced their species ethos of getting stronger at any cost as thoroughly as Gored. The pair of combined dragons has turned to the work of Redcap as the future of Aberration evolution, obsessing over the potential of the fungal colonies that have completely overtaken whatever is left of the researcher's mind. With the assistance of Redcap, Gored has designed a species of fungi that can fuse to their species so completely that it becomes a part of their genetics, potentially passing on to offspring. This strain, which Gored calls "Polypore," is slowly spreading throughout the Aberration population. Gored enjoys the consciousness it shares with many of their children, but unfortunately for the Aberration, the dragon it most longs to share a mind with remains untethered to the colony...

When Gored originally arrived at Beta to work with their idol Redcap, their left head fell head over heels for Glory, the daughter of two intimidatingly important members of the Acquisition division, Kerie and Vivie. The Gaolers had long been protective of their daughter due to her concern for her unsettling mutation, and were horrified when Gored seduced her into changing herself into an aberration, which they saw as making her problem even worse. Though Gored longs to convert Glory into the fungal colony so that they can "truly" be together-- on every conceptual level-- her Gaoler parents are unsubtle about their willingness to take Gored out of the picture if they see so much as a single mushroom sprout out of their daughter. Beta as a whole is disturbed enough by Redcap and her devotees to look the other way and let them.
