__Most dragons have a couple of goals in life; a couple of things they're good at, that they enjoy doing. Someone might gather as their job for the clan, but they might also knit little accessories for the hatchlings in their spare time. Someone else might be a warrior, a protector of the clan, but perhaps they paint or sculpt while they have time to kill. Not Runekeeper. __To Runekeeper, the Runes are everything; there is no question about it. The world could be on fire, life falling apart at the seams, but if the Runes were safe, it was ok. They don't let anyone they don't trust near the Runetree, and they check their bag constantly to assure themself that the precious stones were alright. She never leaves her post, and carefully monitors the entrance. __Once upon a time, years and years ago, Runekeeper was more lenient. On occasion they would leave the Runetree, and that proved a fatal mistake. Whilst Runekeeper had been taking a break, a dragon had slipped into the Void; curious about the mysterious realm they knew oh so little about. Runekeeper heard of the little adventure hours later, and although they sent their friends Psyche and Echo into the other dimension to search, they were all unfamiliar with the territory. Ultimately, the dragon was never seen again. |

__If nothing else, Runekeeper is stubborn. She refuses to be pulled away from her station, valiantly standing guard. They keep most others away from the area, doing everything in their power to protect those they care about - and even whatever strangers might stumble upon her and the Runes. |
