______ The great thief Vidalia never expected that she would have hatchlings- never expected that she would want them. But being unable to steal Vythri away from his cell, this feels like the next best thing. She lays a single egg, hidden in the craggy rocks of the Crystalspine Reaches.

______ He hatches somewhat feeble, but wide-eyed and curious nonetheless. Vidalia delights in showing him as much of the world as she can, travelling at first with Illyrian on her back, and later with him at her side as he grows stronger. While her own interests lie in anything shiny or valuable, Illyrian fixates on plants. Having hatched in a place with no flora to speak of, the sight of things growing interests him greatly.

______ As they travel further afield, he becomes increasingly interested in things that grow where they shouldn't. Unlikely survivors in wastelands, deserts, and toxic barrens. But Vidalia has been away from her mate for too long, and judging him able to fend for himself, she says goodbye with some reluctance. He finds a new home within Duskbreak, a clan perfectly suited for his interest in life flourishing where it should not.
