She gazes longingly into a room, where that beautiful dragon sits, their fingers gracefully flying across keys.

They'd always said Marlene was beautiful, but she'd never quite seen herself that way. Her soft and shimmering scales seemed to entrance everyone but her. She was prone to wrapping herself in a blanket of self-doubt, never seeing the kind and demure dragon that others thought she was and only seeing herself as a failure for not finding her charge yet.

So she sat quietly, brushed off compliments and suitors, gazing sadly out at the world that she believed was not for her. She kept her heart firmly locked away, like a princess in a tower.

But when her dragon finally came, arriving into her very own Clan, and she knew - this was her Charge for sure - she suddenly... couldn't find the words to say. She'd had no practice with friends and romantic partners, since she'd been so busy searching and sorrowfully staring waiting for *her* dragon to come along. Every time they passed by, she'd clam up, never knowing how to start a conversation.

They're a talented musician, so she's become very invested in music, still hoping that one day they'll notice her staring lovingly as they play. She hopes so.
