After a brief stay with Pearl's clan, Delis and his clan-brother Chasse found home in the Jade Haven. Their own siblings found homes in yet another clan, stretching the glow of their Fire heritage even farther.

Delis uses his unique genes as a sort of defensive subterfuge. Similar to how butterflies imitate great eyes to frighten off would-be predators, Delis' flashy hide confuses enemies and his glowing tail is used with further intent to disorient and confuse.

Combined with his elemental control of the fiery lanterns that surround him, his flashy genes and agile movements, he's very good at eluding danger. This affords him company with hunting and scouting parties in the twilight and evening hours, providing light and a safe escape from ambushes.

He utilizes these skills in his off hours to entertain hatchlings and those passing through the clan, and occasionally teams up with Merlin in the clinic to put on a flashy show.
