Biography

zXKY1Je.gif

So named because every time she sees a mantis insect, she basically acts like an excited hatchling who just found her new favorite toy. Only it's an edible toy. Mantises are her favorite food of all! She finds them elegant, fascinating...and tasty.

Beautiful and graceful and kind with added uniqueness due to her many eyes, she catches the glimpse of many suitors, mates and friends alike, and unknowingly draws them in by her natural allure alone. This makes for many interesting conversations where she usually ends up helping others in reverse of their original intentions, as she's a thoughtful sort who loves to listen and help when she can. She's met many friends along her path in this way, and is glad for each and every experience.

One such friend was met during her short stay on the Kitemaker's Knoll. When told of the Autumnal Weald nearby, she was warned not to go there without the safe talisman of a sunflower, if at all. Her curiosity and naivete were piqued, and so her new shy friend rummaged in his garden and gave Mantis the gift of sunflower seeds. She never did visit the Weald out of respect for several dragons' warnings of it, though she did gaze at its autumn beauty from afar and vowed to plant the seeds on her travels, while keeping one with her always for protection and luck.

Mantis is quite fond of tea, and is always glad to find a good tea shop wherever she travels. As she's not a fire dragon and would rather travel during the day than stop to make fire for tea, she often cold-brews her herbal mixes in a bottle she keeps with her few belongings. Her many eyes help see the tasty flora around her so that she always has a supply of delicious tea, with new blends daily and always a cuppa to share with a new friend.

Befriended a toridae; named him Milk Tea. Most call him Milk Teeth. Some just run.
