Born in a hatchery that was caring, and having his caretakers be more his parents than his actual parents Ford became a bit of a rebellious dragon. Although the Light Flight doesn't have all that many shadowed and easily hiding areas he managed to find cracks in the area, even outside the Hewn City. There he learned more about the world, other Flights, and more than a young dragon should know. With the knowledge he became a trickster, thief, and a deserter of his Lair. Until one night he was at a shady part in his usual appearance when another Imperial, this one of blue, come up and offered him more than a usual night of mischief. Being taken with Hao to his home Lair the two stayed up too late and woke up just as late. Then he met Red and Bonnie as well, and was invited to stay. Because of the fun late into night with Hao, Ford couldn't help but to say yes.

When not around Hao or taking care of the Lair with the other Alphas, Ford is around the other dragons in the Lair and the surrounding area within the Windswept Plateau. Just because he's in a new home doesn't mean his old habits of being a rebel stopped. He's still around the shadowed areas, having fun, and staying out late. This behavior isn't favored by a lot of the current Lair but he handles it without much care. Mostly because he doesn't really give as many orders as the others in the polycule.

However, Ford does have a soft spot and not just for Hao. He enjoys the company of the furry familiars in the Lair's hoard and care. When he isn't anywhere above he's generally found napping with the familiars or taking care of them. If ever found by one of the caretakers he immediately stops and starts to leave, acting like he was never there. His partner is Hao, even if he is occasionally seen close to Red when he's home.
