Hao is a big introvert of a dragon. He enjoys staying at the nest surrounded by art supplies, bugs, and blankets made of wool. When not in the middle of his hoard, or the lair, he does enjoy spending time in other flights. He uses his ability to shift from dragon form to smoke to glide through the Flights easily and quietly. When he's out, he does enjoy to collect more bugs. He also tends to find a few dragons who are willing to handle his mysterious self, and to tell or listen to stories. When he comes back home he enjoys to share his adventures with his partners, Ford and Damien.

Unlike other dragons from his flight, Hao was created from a dark wisp of smoke. Many dragons in the Starfell Isles took it as a dark omen and shunned him away. Because of this Hao took to the other Flights for teachings and understanding of how the world works. With traveling from Flight to Flight, learning of their teachings and workings he settled in the Wind Flight. They seemed the most at ease with many things. He soon met a Tundra that never questioned him, and even allowed him to stay at his nest.

Hao is the one that brought Ford home. Like Ford, Hao tends to hang out in the darker areas of the Flights. And although that's hard to find in the Light Flight he managed to find the spot to keep to the shadows. There he met Ford at a shady hangout. The two talked for the night and eventually Hao took him home, hoping to be a secret. It wasn't long before others heard of the newfound dragon. Regardless, they were both welcomed in, and continued to stay at their rankings.
