Biography

Nissa
Spoiled Prince of the Autumn Court

The mess of coils before you flashes you a cheeky grin as he eyes the bags at your side. There’s a clear contemplation in his eyes as he decides whether the stuff inside is valuable enough to bargain, or better yet, snatch from under your nose.

This energetic Spiral lives life to the fullest and bores easily. He goes through new experiences on the dime after indulging on every pleasure it has to offer. There’s only one thing kept constant in Aster’s life and that is his love for Tarma. Well, the love for Tarma and the irresistible desire for food.

Aster’s strength in magic was obvious from birth. His eyes practically glowed with magic and strange markings gave the appearance of a third eye. While Aster was blessed with a well of power he wouldn’t master this well for many years.

Due to taking after his mother with an impulsive nature Aster has little patience for any teachers assigned to him. Most rarely last a day before Aster ‘accidently’ gives them more than they bargained for and chases them away. Whether the subject is math, reading, science, or magic Aster only entertains it briefly before abandoning them. Instead Aster prefers to skip out on lessons in favor of feasts and parties that last for days. For years Aster simply gorged himself on the pleasures and finery that his court adores. It frustrated the Autumn Court to no end to know that while they have such a powerful son in their court, he was unwilling to support the court or learn anything of value.

The routine of parties and feasts with quick but frustrating lessons slowly started to bore Aster. Between the frustrations of the Autumn Court and his slowly growing boredom, Aster started to consider leaving the realm of fairies. His mother does it occasionally, he’s even used some of her tricks to get out of court sessions before. The world of dragons had many more possibilities to offer than the faery courts anyway, what reason did Aster have to stay?

Hiding in the bags of a departing emissary wasn’t really asking for permission to leave. A short letter to his mother to reassure worries was all Aster left behind for his court. He switched his ride between various travelers before finally arriving at the Sanctuary.

The riches stolen from the Autumn Court’s hoards didn’t last Aster long. He spent most of it on temporary things like expensive food without a thought for the future because of his upbringing. He’s lucky that the Fata Morgana took a chance and recruited him, for otherwise it’s unlikely he’d keep a job long enough to support himself.

A cheerful librarian was the last dragon Aster ever expected to fall for. A rich business owner or plentiful cook? Yes. But a librarian with minimum wage pay and a preference for the small things in life? Never. Yet somehow Aster was drawn more to the librarian Tarma than any other dragon. He spent hours helping her work all while she yammered on about whatever books or topics she loved most at the time. Aster found his own enjoyment in some of the books Tarma recommended and even conceded enough to learn the things his court failed to manage to teach him.

Generation 2

All faeries are greedy, but the Autumn Court is the most greedy of them all...

Congratulations on adopting a Descendant of the Autumn Court~ Gluttonous and decadent, the Autumn Court fae gorge themselves on the harvest's riches. Be warned, though: one taste of their food, and you will never be able to leave. The Autumn Court is most well known for granting questing dragons prosperity, but only if they can be convinced to part with it. RANDOM LORE TIDBITS

Aster arrives in a flourish of magic!
There's really only one reason Aster bothered to dress up for the Crystal Gala. Food. That lovely, rarely indulged, bountiful harvest of spring. It's been a while since Aster could simply feast like he plans to at this gala. And then there's the unexpected bonus of getting to dress up. Really, he didn't expect it to be this fun! He even figured out how to harness his magic enough to make a starswirl... and wouldn't it be a shame if Aster took the chance to flaunt a bit?
