B I O G R A P H Y

Anansi is a dragon with a devious attitude and little taste for rules. If there is a way to get out of something, he will gladly take the easy route. However, he's intelligent and puts particular effort into his one job: spying. He acts as a double agent, infiltrating other clans under the guise of joining them. He stays to gather information and when he is done, he returns home to let Ricin and Phantom lead an attack on the clan. He is the perfect dragon for the job, as his carefree, lazy, attitude means nobody suspects his intentions.

Despite his lax personality, he takes his job seriously and is incredibly friendly and charming. He likes making friends, but lacks trust in most dragons. Argo is his closest friend, and he spends a lot of time around the blind Fae. Ricin teases him, saying he's horns over tail in love, but Anansi isn't so sure. Spending the majority of his life traversing Sornieth, he knows more than most about the ways of other tribes and clans. But he can feel it, something in the air is turning...

_BACKSTORY_

____Anansi was born into a rowdy clan in the Cloudsong District of the Windswept Plateau. His clan preferred play over work and held high respect for competitive spirit and attitude. Anansi was fast, cunning, and bold, which made him quite a popular dragon to hang out with. Eventually, he grew restless of the same things, so he said goodbye to his clan and headed out to explore. There, he was surprised to see just how many different types of dragons there are. His attitude proved to be dangerous, getting him caught in the middle of a territory war. He was taken as a hostage by a violent Fire clan.

____Consisting mostly of Snappers and Wildclaws, the clan found Anansi's spindly body and odd flight pattern to be entertaining. He witnessed murders and endured months of torture before another hostage was brought to the clan. He was unlike any dragon Anansi had ever seen before. He was tiny, curled in a quivering ball, with dull scales. It took days before the dragon even uncurled himself. His eyes were unseeing, and he said his name was Argo.

____Eventually, the clan was attacked by another clan during the night, and Anansi and Argo were freed. The dragon who freed them said his name was Magma. He shielded them from the slaughter with his wings, but Anansi couldn't help to peer out and see the dismembered bodies and horror in the camp. Who had saved them?

____Magma explained Caelum to them as they made the trek to the camp, Argo and Anansi both being too malnourished to fly. There, they came face to face with the end of the Search, and Magma took them to the medics. Argo stayed there to receive extensive care and Anansi was left to heal in the nursery, as his injuries weren't as bad. There, he met Cypher, who was incredibly interested in his story. The two grew close, and Anansi learned about Matrix. Cypher explained that Matrix had a plan to form a group to overtake authority, and insisted he would be the perfect dragon to spy. Although he was unsure at first, he ultimately agreed to join as soon as he was strong enough to leave the nursery.
