B I O G R A P H Y

Phantom is a strong-willed, determined dragon with a commanding presence. She serves as a diplomat for Caelum, meaning she often accompanies Ricin to other clans. What happens there isn't known by many, although they always come back smelling of death and wiping blood from their claws. Phantom acted as an older sibling to Ricin - who had no parents of her own - and she has a fondness for the young dragon. Phantom taught her everything about loyalty and survival in their unforgiving clan. Phantom is quiet most of the time, observing her clanmates, but never involving herself.

Something isn't quite right between Phantom and Cypher. When Phantom was younger, he was one of the only dragons she found herself able to talk to. But every time she did, something like dread filled her stomach. She has yet to really figure it out, so she keeps her interactions with him to a minimum. She sees herself in his eyes, and sometimes Prophet stares blankly at them from across the clan...

_BACKSTORY_

____Phantom grew up as a loner with their parents, Nebula and Cassiopeia, by a seaside cliff on the outskirts of the Highland Scrub. She learned how to fish from her father, and stargazed with her parent on clear nights. She knew that it wasn't normal to not be part of a clan, but her family made it feel okay. When she was still young, she found out that her father was being hunted by bounty hunters from his old clan. Phantom and their family were forced to move around in order to escape, but she was never told what exactly her father did.

____Eventually, the scared family found refuge in Caelum and Nebula changed his name to Starsight. Starsight worked as a guard, while Cassiopeia started having violent visions. Phantom stayed close by them, scared of foreign dragons and never knowing anyone except her parents. A few years later, she started taking lessons from the clan's record keeper, Dusk, and learned how to negotiate and keep track of important things. Although it was challenging work, Phantom had a talent for speaking.

____Around this time, Phantom overheard a conversation between their parent - now being called Prophet - and the Matriarch, and she learned why her father was wanted. Prophet spoke of the most recent visions that had been plaguing them: their mate had killed Phantom's two siblings before they could hatch. Horrified, she confronted her father and was met with violence and outrage. Dusk learned of the endeavor and tried to help, but Phantom grew cold towards her.

____Years later, towards the beginning of the Search, Phantom happened across an odd egg while traveling. Drawn to it, they brought it back and swore to raise it like their father never could. Alongside Polaris, the clan's only mirror dragon, Phantom raised Ricin as a younger sister. She stayed quiet and hostile towards almost everyone except her adopted sister. They taught her that the only person to help you in the world is yourself. At the end of the Search, Phantom joined Ricin in Postmortem and took her post as negotiator. Now, her desires remain a mystery.
