PUT ALL THE MONEY IN AND LET'S ROLL 'EM AGAIN!

Like many Flambebes, Oxytorch felt out of place most of his life. Raised on the road by a Flambebe theatre troupe, and with a chronic fear of commitment towards others, Torchy found comfort in the historical texts he picked up on his travels. Archaeology fascinated him, both out of romanticism for relics of times long past, and for the fortunes that could be made selling them.

It wasn't long before Torchy came of age and set out on his own path, leaving behind his troupe family and his brother. He hopped from gig to gig, leaving two-week notices in the form of dust clouds beneath his wings. He cheated and gambled and stole, and had plenty of close brushes with death. As he traveled the continent he learned more and more about archaeology and ancient cultures. Specifically, how to loot them. And as the years passed, antiquities became his expertise. Torchy hopped the line between archaeology and grave-robbing. He found loyal clients in the most sinister of criminals. He made enough rivals to fill a stadium. Leaving behind more enemies than friends, Torchy sold more than enough relics for himself; but he never shared the wealth. Torchy liked his solace. He liked to work alone. He was happiest this way.

Becoming a Guardian's charge was the worst thing that could've happened.

Skorian is at once the most important person in Torchy's life, and the greatest source of his rage. Becoming the object of obsession for a bloodthirsty and egotistical Guardian was never in Torchy's plans. His countless attempts at ditching Skorian just made him more possessive. The two are in constant argument and are not above being petty if it means gaining the advantage.

Torchy has never been a weakling and is more than capable of defending himself, but Skorian will still shove him aside and try to take his place in battles. It's humiliating.

Despite their volatile interactions, Torchy will begrudgingly admit to the benefits of having Skorian as his companion. The Guardian is utterly terrifying and has slashed his list of enemies considerably. Likewise Torchy often uses his headstrong nature to his advantage, easily egging Skorian into completing dangerous tasks while raiding tombs. So, while it's far from an ideal partnership, the two have managed to make things work, even if their spats irritate everyone around them.

Quote:
While the Magician is the guardian of the conscious mind and the tangible world, the High Priestess is the guardian of the subconscious mind and the teacher of sacred knowledge and hidden mysteries. Sitting at the threshold of the conscious and subconscious mind, the High Priestess has an innate ability to travel between these realms effortlessly. She teaches you that the world is not always as it seems and more profound influences are often at play. She ushers you through the thin veil of awareness, offering you a deep, intuitive understanding of the Universe and a heightened awareness of secret or hidden information.

FLAMBEBE LORE:
Flambebes are known for being some of the most devoted dragons to the Flamecaller, often thought of as Fire Flight Mascot. Some are even said to have special fire-related magic reflected in their tertiary genes.

Long ago, several Tundra dragons left The Southern Icefield and moved to the mainland.
Whether they were exiled, or whether they left of their own accord has been lost to the ages, however, what is known is that this group of exiles found themselves in The Ashfall Wastes.
When they had left, their coloring had been a stark white, the color of snow and ice, however, they were so overcome by the heat of the Wastes, that their fur changed, becoming a deep blue, as if the ice had melted back into water. Overheating and exhausted, they were lost, and in danger of death.

It was then that the Flamecaller took pity on them and gave them a blessing. Within each dragon's heart, she planted a spark from the great volcanoes of the Wastes. With these sparks, the dragons never needed to fear the elements, for they were shielded from both fire and ice.
They stayed in the Wastes for many years, until eventually, they grew old, and their children's children's children made the decision to return to the Icefields. There, they had hatchlings of their own with the native dragons. The blue colouring faded from their children, and, in each generation, the spark of the Wastes weakened.

On rare occasions, however, a baby hatches with the full power of the spark within them. These dragons have the blue coloring of their ancestors, and often return to the Wastes, with many going into the service of the Flamecaller, feeling a great personal connection with her.

Smoke:
This Flambebe's inner spark has manifested as a wispy, fire-colored fog that follows them everywhere they go. The fog acts as a natural shield for them, able to form a barrier that is impervious to any temperature changes. The Flambebe is not usually able to control the fog, but when their emotions run high the fog acts as a natural extension of their will. The fog glows brightly when it is defending either the Flambebe or other beings.

The original flambebes were sky sky coloured and migrated to the Ashfall wastes when they were under threat of attack. They struggled in the new environment so Mather (flamecaller) blessed them by making them fireproof and effected less by the heat. She did this by adding an inner flame into them which melted the sky sky colour and made them into all different blue colourations. The inner flame is seen by their tert. However when a sky sky is born they’re considered snow flambebe (cause of its rarity)
